You can remove individual pieces of your data while keeping your account, or delete the account entirely. Both routes are described below. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone, so export anything you want to keep first. Settings has an Export data option that downloads all of your boards and cards as JSON, and it is free on every plan.

Delete some of your data, keep your account

You do not have to close your account to remove data. Everything here takes effect immediately and needs no request to us.

A whole board. Open the board, then choose Delete board from its menu. Its columns, cards, comments and attachments go with it.
A single card. Open the card menu and choose Delete. Archived cards can be deleted the same way.
A file you uploaded. Open the card and remove the attachment. The stored file is deleted within 24 hours and the space it used is freed right away.
Connected apps and access tokens. Go to Settings, then Connected apps, and revoke any entry. Its token stops working immediately.
Reminder emails and notifications. Turn them off under Settings, or use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email we send.

For anything you cannot remove yourself, email support@easykanb.app from the address your account uses. We handle the request within 30 days.

Delete your entire account

This is the fastest route and takes effect immediately.

Open the EasyKanban app, or go to easykanb.app in a browser.
Sign in to the account you want to delete.
Open Settings from the account menu.
Scroll to the Danger Zone section at the bottom.
Select Delete account and confirm.

Ask us to delete it

If you cannot sign in, email support@easykanb.app from the address your account uses, with the subject "Delete my account". We verify the request and complete the deletion within 30 days.

What gets deleted

Your profile: display name, email address and profile picture.
Your sign in credentials, including any linked Google or GitHub identity.
Every board you own, with all of its columns, cards, tags and comments.
File attachments on those cards. The database records go immediately, the stored files are removed within 24 hours by a scheduled cleanup.
Your membership on boards owned by other people.
Invitations you sent, and invitations addressed to your email.
Your notification subscriptions and reminder settings.
Connected apps and access tokens, including personal access tokens.

What we keep, and for how long

A small amount of data outlives the account, either because it no longer identifies you or because it belongs to someone else.

Usage statistics. Records of actions such as "a board was created" are stripped of your user id at deletion and kept only as anonymous totals. They can no longer be linked back to you.
Comments you wrote on other people's boards. These stay with the board, which belongs to its owner, but they are no longer attributed to you.
Billing records. Invoices and payment records are held by our payment provider for the periods required by tax and accounting law. We never store your card details.
Encrypted backups. Routine database backups may still contain your data until they are overwritten in the normal rotation, within 30 days.
