1. Information We Collect

When you sign up for EasyKanban via GitHub OAuth, we collect your email address, GitHub username, and profile picture. We also store the boards, cards, and columns you create within the application.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

Provide and maintain the EasyKanban service
Authenticate your account via GitHub OAuth
Store and sync your boards, cards, and settings
Process payments for Pro subscriptions via Stripe
Send essential service notifications
Improve our product and user experience

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely on Supabase infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information. Payment information is processed securely through Stripe and never stored on our servers.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We only share data with:

GitHub - for authentication purposes
Stripe - for payment processing (Pro plan only)
Supabase - for data storage and hosting

5. Cookies & Analytics

We use cookies and analytics tools to understand how users interact with EasyKanban. This helps us improve the product. Analytics are anonymized and do not personally identify you.

6. Aggregated Content Analysis

To understand what EasyKanban is used for (e.g. software projects, event planning, personal to-dos) and improve the product accordingly, we run an automated, weekly analysis that classifies boards into coarse categories.

Only board titles, column names, tag names and card titles are read — never card descriptions, comments, or assignees.
We store only derived labels (e.g. "software development", "professional use", language) and anonymous aggregate counts — never the text itself.
Long-term statistics contain no user or board identifiers, and results are only reported for groups large enough that no individual content can be inferred.
Email addresses, phone numbers and links are filtered out before any processing.

Legal basis: legitimate interest in product improvement (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can opt out at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → "Aggregated Content Analysis" — your boards will then be excluded from all future analysis runs.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access your personal data
Delete your account and all associated data
Export your boards and cards
Opt out of analytics tracking and aggregated content analysis

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will permanently delete all your data within 30 days.

9. Children's Privacy

EasyKanban is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes via email or through the application.
